This is the site for the National Institutes of Health's History of Medicine Division. The Library's resources for historical scholarship in the medical and related sciences are among the richest of any institution in the world. They include rarities (e.g. collections of Arabic and oriental medical literature) and exhaustive materials for the support of studies in the history of human health and disease. This site provides access to online images (a database of nearly 60,000 images from the prints and photographs collection), and online exhibitions (e.g. A History of Cesarean Section, Perez on Medicine - The Whimsical Art of Jose Perez, and A History of the US Public Health Service).
